AMRAP Anyone????


When I am short on time, I love a good AMRAP workout.  AMRAP stands for As Many Rounds As Possible.  So basically you just start with the first exercise and continue on to the next and the next with as little break as possible (for 20 straight minutes in this case).  Take a break as you need to, but the whole point is to bust it out rather quickly and document how many rounds that you completed in the 20 minutes.  
This is a great form of HIIT training (High Interval Intensity Training) which is really known to burn a lot of calories in a short period of time.  By documenting how many rounds you do, the next time you do this workout you see if you can beat what you did the previous time.   1. I think I got nine times through (with less than five seconds to spare) but counting reps and then counting the thing as a whole confused me. I also wasn't sure how to count the mountain climbers or high knees -- if it was both feet count as one then I shorted them. I thought going from the tuck jumps to burpees was the hardest. When I took time to regroup, I did it there. Anyway, got a run in after -- you were right to have me do this first. I could run the same distance I'd planned but slower.
